A FINELY CARVED RHINOCEROS HORN CUP
17TH CENTURY
Carved around the tapering exterior with a continuous scene depicting two monkeys seated on rockwork, one clasping a large peach in its hands, all beneath a gnarled pine tree and a crane in flight, the reverse with a crane perched on rockwork amidst bamboo leaves and beneath prunus branches bearing large blooms, the horn of a dark honey tone
