PROBABLY TURKEY, 20TH CENTURY
The rectangular box raised on four feet and with separate hinged lid, the surfaces decorated in openwork, the top with concentric roundels enclosing calligraphy and issuing small pendants and surrounded by scrolling leafy vine, the sides decorated with panels of calligraphy and two ornate lines of decoration below, all framed by a border of alternate quatrefoils and stripes
