Lot Essay

Thomas Weeks established his renowned museum of 'mechanical curiosities' at Nos. 3 & 4 Tichbourne Street in about 1797. C. Gilbert 'Some Weeks cabinets reconsidered', Connoisseur, May 1971, p. 15.
