Marked Ovchinnikov with the Imperial warrant, Moscow, 1879
Cylindrical, the square base nielloed with foliate bands, on four bun feet, with pierced burner compartment and upper vent gallery, with nielloed view of the Moscow Kremlin on the front and Christ the Saviour Cathedral on the reverse, amidst stylised foliate scrollwork and strapwork in the Old Russian style, scroll spout, gilt rim, the knop finials, handles and indented border spigot with ivory, the upper part with a cypher 'OSN' beneath a crown, marked on back edge of base, handle, covers, chimney, and cover
