Probably Russian, second quarter 19th Century
Comprising a teapot, a coffee pot, a covered sugar-bowl and six cups; all with white bodies painted with a classicising frieze depicting trophies of music, gardening and war in blue octagonal cartouches with gilt borders, further decorated with gilt foliate swags, the teapot, coffee pot and sugar basket with modelled burnished gold human and animal masks and burnished ovular finials, the cups with stem formed handles, apparently unmarked
