A GREEK POTTERY TREFOIL-LIPPED CUP
GEOMETRIC PERIOD, CIRCA 750-725 B.C.
The rounded bowl with high vertical walls and a flaring rim, the lip pinched opposite the vertical strap handle, with two horizontal loop handles low on the bowl; the exterior decorated in black with a band of opposing crosshatched triangles below the lip, the handle zone with a checker-pattern below the pinched lip framed by hatching, the horizontal handles framed by a blossom on a dotted stem, a panel on either side of the vertical handle with a four-leaf rosette

Acquired by the father of the current owner and brought to South America in 1950-1951.
