Lot Essay

Louis-Marthurin Aulnette du Vautenet (1721-99) was made a Knight of the Order of Saint Louis in 1786. See A. Lebel, French and Swiss armorials on Chinese Export porcelain of the 18th century, Brussels, 2009, p. 99.
