Canon avec guidon aux trois quarts, ciselé de feuillages, volutes et masques au tonnerre, platine bombée ciselée de feuillages et d'un masque sur la queue, crosse en noyer façonnée, garnitures en fer comprenant une contre-platine signée 'Du Mee', repercée et ciselée en suite, écusson découpé et ciselé d'un masque, baguette postérieure.

A French flintlock sporting gun
Mid-18th century
With slightly swamped sighted barrel with three-quarter length sighting flat and chiselled with foliage, scrollwork and a mask at the breech, grooved tang, rounded lock chiselled with further foliage and a mask on the tail, figured walnut full stock, iron mounts including pierced side-plate chiselled en suite and signed 'Du Mee', pierced crowned escutcheon chiselled with a portrait mask, iron sling mounts, and later ramrod.
