Sugata [configuration]: shinogi-zukuri with deep curvature, mune-hikushi and chu-kissaki
Kitae [forging pattern]: masame
Hamon [tempering pattern]: chu-suguha
Boshi [tip]: o-maru
Nakago [tang]: suriage with kiri file marks, two mekugi-ana, kaku-ichimonji
Habaki [collar]: double gold-clad copper
Nagasa [length of blade]: 69.5cm
Koshirae [mounting]: mounting with same-wrapped hilt and plover-form menuki, the scabbard with plovers over waves decorated in black and orange lacquer, maki-e and mother-of-pearl inlay, the fuchigashira of shakudo, inlaid gold hirazogan details decorated with spirals and stylized dragons, inscribed Sendai ju Kiyosada, the mokko-shaped tsuba cast in low relief with stylized waves and a group of gilt plovers over wood grain, inscribed Naoaki and with kao (cursive monogram)
Accompanied by a certificate of registration as a Tokubetsu kicho token (Sword worthy of preserving) no. 176433 issued by the Nihon Bijutsu Token Hozon Kyokai (Society for the Preservation of the Japanese Art Sword), dated 1969.11.22
