Of typical form with curving single-edged steel blade becoming double-edged at the point, one side of the blade with inscription reading 'amal Mustafa, the hilt of cow-horn with silver quillons, the spine with a band of engraved interlacing strapwork, the sheath with large panels of silver at the locket and chape decorated in repoussé with dense floral design
