Lot Essay

According to the original owner he obtained the autographs and tone knob whilst working as the Road Manager for a band that supported The Jimi Hendrix Experience. He explains that at the end of his set Hendrix attacked his amp with his guitar. It was only when tidying up leads for his band after the show, that he discovered this Tone knob on the stage, and decided to slip it in his pocket as a memento. He also notes that in photographs of Hendrix playing at the Finsbury Astoria, the following week, his guitar can clearly be seen to be missing the tone knob, as well as the volume knob.
