Lot Essay

According to the owner the harmonica was left by Hendrix in his NY apartment, where Hendrix would stay during his visits to the city. He recalls Hendrix explaining that Bob Dylan had given it to him, and that he used it when tuning his guitar in the Bedford Street apartment.
