The waterpot is well and the exterior finely carved from an irregular pebble, the exterior carved in shallow relief to simulate a section of a pine trunk, detailed with two nodules and two pine branches growing to the underside and sides, detailed with a pair of tree shrew clambering on the pine needles and a bat in flight, the opaque stone of varying tones of grey with areas of darker inclusions, highlighting the carving
