A pair of Royal Crown Derby urns painted by Dèsirè Leroy
each with twin scrolling handles, supported by a tapering square section plinth, painted with a loose bouquet including a pink rose, within shaped cartouches decorated with raised gilt scrolling foliage suspending swags of flowers englosing green ground sections gilt with a cell pattern, the lower section with similar ornament on a dark blue ground, the rim with a gilt band enriched in turquoise and white enamelled arches reserved with stylised leaves between seed ornament, the stems with green ground arcades on a circular foot with 'jewelled' ornament, the plinth moulded with bands of leaves and decorated in raised gilt and enamels, signed, iron-red Fr 410/1417, printed puce marks, date code for 1905 -- 7in. (17.8cm.) high (one handle broken and re-stuck, minute chip lacking)
