The lid painted with a scene depicting a Persian prince being offered a slave girl, entitled Combien on the reverse of the lid, and marked to the inside Stobwassers fabrik Braunschweig

Together with an English papier mache table snuff-box entitled TAM 'O SHANTER & SOUTER JOHNNY - 14.5cm. diam.; A circular papier mache snuff-box decorated with a brothel scene - 10 cm. diam; a circular box decorated with a man reading - 11.5 cm. diam.; a rectangular papier mache box painted with a pharisee - 8 cm. wide; And two tole-peinte snuff-boxes: one depicting the death of a Greek hero, the other a vineyard scene - 13 and 11.5 cm. wide (7)
