FRENCH AND GERMAN, FIRST HALF 19TH CENTURY
Comprising a box painted with a young lady inscribed to the reverse of the lid jeune Russe - 9.5 cm. diam.; a box decorated with a tavern scene, inscribed to the reverse Die Tisch Gesellschaft nach Teniers, probably Stobwasser - 9.6 cm. diam.; two boxes decorated with hand coloured engravings, one depicting king William I of the Netherlands - both 9 cm. diam.; another entitled LA PRECAUTION INUTILE - 8.6 cm. diam.; two with calendars on lid and base: one for 1828 - 8.5 cm. diam. the other for 1848 - 10.3 cm. diam. and a box with the names of the deputies who voted for and against the French Revolution of 1830 - 8.8 cm. diam.
Together with a tole-peinte rectangular snuff-box decorated with a tavern scene in the manner of Teniers - 12.8 cm. wide (9)
