A gilt bronze figure of Buddha
Tibet, 15th Century
Seated in dhyanasana on a lotus base over a plinth, the hands in dharmachakramudra and holding lotus stems blossoming at the shoulders, dressed in a billowing dhoti and adorned with a sash elegantly draped over his elbows, the face serene with heavy-lidded eyes surmounted by a foliate tiara, the base sealed with a double-vajra
