ATTRIBUTED TO JAMES CONDLIFF, RETAILED BY LITHERLAND, DAVIES & CO., LIVERPOOL. CIRCA 1855
DIAL: silvered and engraved chapter ring, blued steel moon hands MOVEMENT: scrolling seven pillar frame, going barrel, great wheel with six crossings, anchor escapement, base with engraved and silvered plaque signed 'Litherland Davies & Co./LIVERPOOL', passing strike on gong in mahogany plinth; under replaced glass dome, pendulum, key
13½ in. (34.5 cm.) high, excluding dome; 10½ in. (16.5 cm.) wide; 6 1/8 in. (15.5 cm.) deep

A clock of very closely related design sold anonymously, Christie's London, 4 July 2007, lot 126 (£7,200). A further example, but with a balance wheel, is is illustrated in Derek Roberts, British Skeleton Clocks, Woodbridge, 1987, p.111. fig. and was also sold Christie's London, 1 July 2005, lot 59 (£12,000).
