Rising from short foot to short vertical sides with flat rim and cusped edge, painted in light yellow, green and manganese glazes, the interior with large central roundel containing a bird of prey on a ground of scrolling vine, surrounded by radiating palmettes and band of strapwork, around this a series of roundels on a ground of pseudo-calligraphy and scrolling vine, a further band of scrolling vine just below rim, the exterior with plain light yellow glaze, intact
