The case with moulded top, formerly with finials, glazed side panels, replaced solid rear door, on later feet, the brass dial with mock pendulum aperture and with engraved roundel to the arch, short duration single barrel movement with verge escapement and rectangular plates, signed 'Gaetano/Cantoni'
