NORTH ITALIAN OR GERMAN, LATE 16TH CENTURY
With one-piece skull with prominent roped comb and recessed flutes, visor with matching recessed flutes and incised with a border line, prow-shaped upper bevor with recessed border, roped turn along the upper edge and pierced with circular breaths on the right side, lower bevor shaped to the chin, the visor and bevors all pivoting at the same points, gorget of two plates to the front and rear, the lower plates with roped edge (front gorget associated, later lifting-peg and pivots), the outer surfaces bright and left rough from the hammer
