Lot Essay

Cf. Force, 1971, p.164 (inv.274094) pour un pendentif comparable provenant de la collection Fuller.
Dent provenant de la mâchoire inférieure d'un cachalot traditionnellement enduite et frottée à l'aide d'huile de coco. Ce type d'objet était porté en pendentif et servait de monnaie d'échange lors de la cérémonie yaqona. Ces biens de grande valeur étaient transmis de génération en génération.
