QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
With bulbous body rising to the slender neck which terminates in the garlic head-shaped mouth, covered all over in a purple glaze streaked in blue, the base incised with the number '3' (san) and covered in a brown wash in imitation of numbered Junyao ware
11 3/8 in. (28.9 cm.) high
Provenance
Acquired by the grandfather of the present owners, Whampoa, Guangdong, circa 1890-1911, thence by descent within the family.
