Arabic manuscript on gold sprinkled paper, 194ff. plus 2 fly-leaves, each folio with 19ll. of neat and tiny naskh, gold roundel verse markers, text panels ruled in gold and black, margins with outer gold rules, sura headings in gold on gold outlined panels, various points in the Qur'an marked in gold thuluth in the margins, opening bifolio with gold and polychrome illumination surrounding 6ll. of text in clouds reserved against gold ground, back of final folio with later owner's marks and stamps, overall clean condition, in brown morocco with central stamped and gilt panels, doublures with gold decoupé floral medallions, in silver presentation case with wide borders of reciprocal palmettes between chevron bands, circular clasp to one side and hinges to the other
