QING DYNASTY, 18TH/19TH CENTURY
This group comprises seven cylindrical bamboo brush pots including one brush pot finely carved in shallow relief in the liu qing technique, reserving the skin of the bamboo, to depict a continuous river landscape scene with dwellings amidst trees on embankments, and six other carved brushpots of varying sizes.
