A CARVED BAMBOO PARFUMIER
QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY
The cylindrical parfumier is carved around the sides in deep relief and openwork detailing a continuous landscape with two gentlemen conversing in a fenced garden surrounded by lush pine and wutong trees. The other side is carved with a pair of ladies relaxing amidst bamboo groves and ornamental rocks. The mouth and foot rims are mounted with hardwood caps.
