A Wood Figure of a Bodhisattva

The standing figure possibly Avalokiteshvara (Kannon bosatsu) carved in single-block technique (ichiboku-zukuri), dressed in a skirt with a scarf draped around the shoulders, over the arms and across the front of the legs, the hair gathered up into a high coiffure adorned with a tripartite head-ornament, the left arm hanging down and the right arm bent at the elbow, set on a wood stand from another sculpture
