Meiji period (late 19th century), signed Shikkoan Shogetsu saku and sealed Hakuho
Decorated in gold hiramaki-e, takamaki-e, and kirikane on a kinji ground with herons beside a pine tree and irises in a stream, the reverse side with a pair of pheasants under a cherry tree, the compartments and risers nashiji, with a gold-lacquer manju netsuke decorated with butterflies, signed Shikko Shozan and sealed, and with gold-lacquer bead ojime
