Rectangular, lacquered in gold, silver and black hiramaki-e, takamaki-e and togidashi with a cricket on peonies, bush clover, pampas grass, a moonflower and bellflower on a black ground of subtly textured lacquer simulating the aged patina of metal, the interior of the box and base nashiji, all rims fundame
