With two-stage sighted barrels each struck with the maker's initials 'JR' on the octagonal breech-section, engraved iron tangs, flat bevelled locks each with stepped-tail and roller, figured walnut full stocks each with chequered butt, engraved iron mounts including trigger-guards each with urn finial, and later horn-tipped ramrods (iron parts cleaned bright, some scattered corrosion marking, minor marks to wood)
