A PAIR OF FRENCH 28-BORE DOUBLE-BARRELLED FLINTLOCK PISTOLS

Each with tapering barrels with engraved gilt foliage along the rib and at the breech, silver fore-sight, engraved grooved tang, one retaining some original blued finish, signed scroll engraved flat bevelled locks, figured walnut full stock carved with foliage behind the barrel-tang and rear ramrod-pipe, foliate engraved iron mounts including spurred pommel engraved with a putto-mask and a sunburst on the pommel-cap, silver escutcheon engraved with a coat-of-arms, and original iron-capped ramrods, one with worm (some wear and defects throughout)
