Probably Groningen, circa 1750/60
Of square shape with canted scroll borders, the moulded rim decorated with shells, leaves and lozenges, on C-scroll-shaped feet, the centre engraved with a bird and the family crest of the Dutch family Wiersema, the underside inscribed: Siert Jans Wiersema geb:d. 29 April 1809 te Oosterwytwert, unmarked
