Of typical shape, the slightly curved blade with triple-fuller, an inscription to the forte reading al-jahl mawt al-ihya' ("Ignorance is the death of the living"), pseudo-calligraphic inscription to the other side, the silver hilt and sheath decorated with carved and nielloed floriated scrolls
