Arabic manuscript on paper, 278ff., each folio with 15ll. of black naskh script, with gold roundel verse markers outlined in black with polychrome dots, sura headings in white thuluth script outlined in black on gold and polychrome illuminated ground within illuminated cartouches, some text in cloud bands on gold and polychrome illuminated ground, text within polychrome ruled gold frame, catchwords, opening folio with finely illuminated headpiece, preceded with two double folios of fine carpet illumination in gold and polychrome, Qur'anic text followed by pages of prayers on gold ground, colophon signed and dated and stating that the scribe is living in Khalkhan (?) al-Shiraz, in brown morocco binding with tooled and stamped gilt medallions, restored, some folios loose
