The scrolling foliate frieze fragment reputedly cast from a section of 13th century stone cornicing at the Cathedral of Notre Dame, Paris and the foliate quarter capital is possibly cast from an architectural detail of the 13th century Upper Chapel of Sainte-Chapelle, Paris. The Brucciani examples cast from 15th century Istrian stone examples in the collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum, London.
