A WHITE JADE ARCHAISTIC CENSER AND COVER
18TH CENTURY
The censer is of rectangular section with gently rounded walls. The exterior is carved with taotie masks and the sides are carved with S-shaped handles. The cover is carved with archaistic scrolls and surmounted with a short finial. The stone is of a very white tone with minor inclusions.
5½ in. (13.5 cm.) wide.
