A WUCAI BALUSTER VASE AND COVER
TRANSITIONAL PERIOD (1620-83)
The vessel is decorated with tree shrews clambering on vines laden with grapes between bands of peony and chrysanthemum scroll to the shoulder and lappets to the base, a band of stiff leaves encircles the neck, all divided by double underglaze blue lines, the knopped cover similarly decorated.
