TWO FAMILLE VERTE PHOENIX-TAIL VASES
18TH/19TH CENTURY
The first is decorated to the lower and upper body with various scenes depicting a bearded, robed dignitary with an elaborate feathered headdress standing with attendants in a pavilion in a rocky landscape; the second with a similar landscape depicts a bearded warrior in an elaborate helmut attended by soldiers, bands of keyfret scroll and cartouches enclosing bamboo reserved on a geometric ground encircle the shoulders.
