A CANTONESE GILT FILIGREE FAN

The paper leaf is painted with ivory-faced courtiers in a stylised rocky landscape, possibly celebrating a birthday, the verso is decorated with a central vignette of a pastoral scene beneath flowers, the gilt filigree sticks are worked with three-dimensional flowers.
