JIAQING IRON-RED SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARKS AND OF THE PERIOD (1796-1820)
Each bowl is decorated to the exterior with a lively allover scene depicting a troop of monkeys in a rocky riverscape enagaged in various activities including hanging from fruiting peach trees, clambering over pine trees and playing on rocks by a waterfall, the turquoise-glazed interior embellished to the centre with two pale turquoise flowers, the rims gilded.
6 7/8 in. (17.5 cm.) diam.
