QIANLONG FOUR-CHARACTER MARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-95) AND LATER
The group comprises an enamelled turquoise snuff bottle of flattened form and a concave oval base bearing the reign mark, finely painted to one side with a crane perched on a pine tree, the reverse is decorated with a pair of herons; an agate bottle of rounded rectangular form with white inclusions; a porcelain cylindrical bottle decorated with flowers and birds, apocryphal Qianlong seal mark to the base; and a glass bottle of flattened oval form, enamelled with a pair of quails beside rockwork to one side, a phoenix to the reverse; together with further various snuff bottles.
