THREE MING DYNASTY (1368-1644), ONE 19TH CENTURY
The white-glazed stem cup is decorated to the interior with four anhua lotus heads. The three blue and white stem-cups, one with a scrolling lotus design, one with phoenix amongst scrolling flowers, and one with dragons chasing the flaming pearl.
The largest 5 7/8 in. (15 cm.) diam., two with lacquer cloth-bound cases with leather mounts (4)
Provenance
Acquired in Nepal in the 1970s and then by descent.
Christie's London letter of valuation dated 28 April 1975 and Sotheby's Hong Kong letter of valuation dated 8 December 1981.
