AN ALCORA FAIENCE POLYCHROME SHAPED-OVAL PLAQUE
CIRCA 1730
Moulded in low-relief with a scroll and leaf diaper-pattern frame enriched in yellow, ochre, blue and green, the top moulded with a female mask with a fan-shaped headdress, the lower part with a beast mask, the recessed oval panel painted with St. Raphael leading Tobiah, who holds a fish, in a maritime scene (cracked across and restored with associated overpainting, small chip to nose of female mask)
