Lot Essay

Born in Jiading (nowadays Shanghai), Zhou Hao (1675-1763) was famous for writing poetry and painting bamboos. He also excelled at painting landscapes by imitating the style of Wang Meng (1308-1385). Zhou was once taught by Wang Hui (1632-1717). He died at the age of 89.
