Lot Essay

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1997 and its subsequent sale on March 4th of the following year. Further accompanied by an undated Certificate of Origin, fitted presentation box, extra gray ribbed Nautilus dial, leather portfolio with product literature and outer packaging.

To the best of our knowledge this watch has never before been offered in public.

Reference 3800, also known as the "¾ size" Nautilus, was produced from 1981 until 2006. It differs from the Reference 3700 in that it has a center seconds hand. The quick change feature for correcting the date through the crown came after 1987, in the second, third, and fourth series.
