Lot Essay

The monumental Shangri Ramayana was once in the possession of Raja Raghubir Singh of Shangri. Additional pages from the dispersed series are in the collections of the British Museum, the Brooklyn Museum of Art, and the Cleveland Museum of Art. For further discussion see B.N. Goswamy and E.
