One volume bound in 2, royal 2o (396 x 273 mm). Collation: [1-810 9-108 11-2310 24-258; 26-3810 3912 40-4810 498]. (1-10 Genesis-Ruth, 11-25 Kings-Psalms; 26-39 Proverbs-Maccabees, 40-49 New Testament, 49/8r colophon). 481 (of 482, without blank 49/2) leaves. 48 lines, double column. Type: 2:115G. 8-line opening initial in blue, red and green with pen-work infill, flourishes and marginal extensions, 6-line opening initial in blue, red and green with pen-work infill, flourishes extending between the columns into the margins, and one 6-line opening initial in blue, red, green and black, with pen-work infill and marginal extension, 6-line initial opening some books in intertwining red, blue and green, other 2-6-line initials alternating in red or blue, book names at top in red, red paragraph marks and capital strokes. Contemporary Westphalian blind-stamped calf over beveled wooden boards, brass clasps, binding not quite uniform (rebacked in morocco by Douglas Cockerell).
