A DERUTA MAIOLICA 'AMATORIA' STAND
CIRCA 1520-50
With a domed central boss inscribed LABINA.BELLA. in blue within a banner reserved against ochre, yellow and green scrolls, the well with alternating panels of leaves, scrolling foliage, fruit and scale-pattern, the yellow-line rim with berried foliage, blue and green bands, the reverse with a band of blue hatched ornament, rim drilled at 12 o'clock, restuck glaze chip at reverse at 10 o'clock, minor chipping to rim and scratching to centre
11 7/8 in. (30 cm.) diam.
