In the mid-to-late 19th century Aaron Green was a decorator and the Principal Designer in charge of drawing at Mintons. His work was included in most of the major International Exhibitions of the period including the seminal London Exhibitions of 1851 and 1862. Notably, he was awarded a Co-operator's Medal at the Vienna Exhibition of 1873 and is remembered for his elaborate encaustic-tile designs for the Hall of Assembly, Washington D.C.
