SYRIA OR EGYPT, LATE 15TH/EARLY 16TH CENTURY
Of slightly tapering form, on plain base, the engraved decoration of foliated cartouches with calligraphy in thuluth script alternating with similar cartouches with tightly interlocking tendrils interspersed with lattice medallions, between two bands of interlocking motifs, with later added owner's name reading Mahfud and with date of AH 1172, minor restorations
